Each time a page on your website doesn't load, an error message will be shown to the visitor. Because there are different errors, there are different pages that will show up, but what's standard for all of them is that they are generic and almost certainly shall have absolutely nothing in common with the design of your website, which could be aggravating for any site visitor. That is the reason why web hosting service providers have introduced a function referred to as Custom Error Pages. For a variety of different errors, visitors shall see your custom made content, which can be informative or funny, in accordance with your personal preference, and that will match the overall style and design of your website, so the pages won't seem like they are not part of your site at all. You could use this option for a variety of errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).
